Saratoga Fillies Women’s Rugby

Who are the Fillies?

The Saratoga Fillies were established in April 2024 after former Saratoga Brumbies and former Saratoga Mustangs came together along Coach Babson and decided they wanted to play women’s rugby in Saratoga Springs again.

After recruiting and establishing a full team this summer & fall, the Fillies will be playing fifteens scrimmages this spring of 2025, sevens in the summer of 2025 and aspire to join the NERFU league next fall of 2025.

The Saratoga Fillies are a social club that prioritizes fun on and off the field. On top of playing rugby together, we also enjoy volunteering, and putting on team bonding events, such as an annual scavenger hunt and holiday party.

Who can play?

Women aged 18 & older

All women aged 18 & up are welcome to play for the Fillies!

No experience necessary

You don’t have to have prior rugby experience to join. We will teach you all the fundamentals to ensure you feel safe and comfortable when you boot up for your first game.

All Athletic Abilities Welcome

You don’t have to have an athletic background to join. We have members who have never played a competitive sport in their life, while others joined rugby after growing up playing multiple sports.
