President & Captain

  • Sierra joined the Saratoga Mustangs in high school, where she played for four years under Coach Babson and served as captain. She went on to play two years at UAlbany and is now thrilled to be a Filly playing for Coach Babson again.

Vice President

  • Kate grew up watching her dad and two older sisters play rugby and always wanted to play. She finally got the opportunity to play for the Mustangs in high school where she fell in love with the sport and community. She took a few years off, then couldn't pass up playing with her old team mates and of course for Coach Babson!

Treasurer

  • Lucia is our most seasoned vet as she has played for 15 years, served as Head Coach at UAlbany, and is an original member of Saratoga Women’s Rugby as she played for the Brumbies. She coached some of her Fillies teammates while they were on the Mustangs and is also an active world rugby certified referee.

Co-Treasurer

  • Taylor started playing rugby during law school for the Albany Law Women’s Rugby team in 2021. She also plays for the Old Breed Rugby Team. Besides Rugby, Taylor is an active member of three summer softball leagues. She is very excited to play with the Fillies and for the legendary Coach Babs.

Match Coordinator

  • Mackenzie started playing rugby in college at SUNY Brockport and played for all four years. She decided to come out of retirement to join the Fillies and is excited to be back in action on a brand new team.

Social Chair

  • Riley was introduced to rugby through her neighbor who had sons that played for the Rensselaer Dragons. After much persistence, she convinced her parents to let her join the team. This was the beginning of her rugby journey that spanned throughout high school. In college, she continued playing with the Albany Knickerbocker Rugby Club before moving closer to Saratoga, where she joined the Saratoga Fillies. Now approaching her 10th season in the fall, Riley remains dedicated to the sport and its community.

Coach

  • Rick is a legend. He has coached many of the girls on the team throughout high school or college and he creates a fun environment for new girls to learn the sport. He can still be found running on the rugby field after 20+ years of playing and coaching.
